Bygone antecedents and its impulse-impacts of each Yuga might be different, but the genetic relativity of each generation and its kith and kin's features of previous births were identical as were exemplified by several incidents.
Accordingly Bakulamalike’s previous era of birth took much and more importance than the present, and its past pre-history. Since then, she has been made to recollect that she was Yashodha the mother of Sri Krishna, in his previous incarnation i.e.during Dwapara yuga. As the mother of Sri Krishna in Dwapara yuga, Yashodha did not seen his son’s wedding.
And during the time Sri Krishna promises to full fill her desire that she can see his son’s wedding as “Srinivasa kalyanam” on the next coming age of era of Kaliyuga. Now the time is nearing fast for the same.
“Srinivasa! Oh my son! At least come now nearer to me; because you knew the mother’s heartily feeling.” Bakulamalike said expecting to embrace him. Srinivasa pleased to her affection.
Then Bakulamalike took him to her small hermitage which is nearby Varahaswamy’s Temple and gave him some fruits, milk to eat, and also told to take rest on sleeping comfortably.
How omnipotent Lord Srinivasa could go to such a long asleep by forgetting the whole world’s affairs and its further salvations! After his intake of fruits and milk Srinivasa appeared to be got just asleep. On few moments passed away his soul’s another one specific divine spirit expelled to an irradiation in a state of dream; therein found Lord Adi varahaswamy stood before him. Varahaswamy made Srinivasa to recollect his previous same incarnation.

reincarnations were not very successful in saving dharma during muslim and british periods.

Dharma is not meant here as caste. It is the essence of Humanity the power of Gentleness, our puranas speaks it is the universal power of Gentleness of Man kind i.e. Sattviq shakthi.
Because of the Universal power of Gentleness of Mahathma Gandhi it was very successfully existed at last in british period.
In muslim period to my knowledge it was often existed during period of Akbar…(because mulslim say Allah… 0h akbar… allah) and also an example of Tippu’s period who faught against british for establishing the same.
So it is everlasting. still in existence;often exists.
Quraan, Bible and Bhagavad geetha says the power of Gentleness only-
As Mohamed, Jesus, Krishna speaks the same .
Even then why the world looks like ever successful for crimes?

we need the Millions of $$ investent, at the same time Hindus sould welcome the newly converted chirstinas to follow Hindu cluture of not eating beef, doing arati and arachna to Jesus.
I heard some of thme like giving hair of kids below 1 year old (like we do in thirupathi) is followed in some church also.
so basically keep them Indians not slaves of Vatican like converted people of africa and south american are....

It is individual right to follow anything from anywhere, not as slave or to follow farcical religion to appear as dogmatic, the very purpose of spiritual scriptures are not to project conventional factors rather than conceptualism for All Mankind. Perhaps, you may not knowing, Islam, Christianity and Sikhs not believes rebirths. I am sure to say basically Hinduism is ever exists in India with corers of Indian's unflinching faith only. However it is not the question of religion or race, but the question of fundamental Human values to live people in harmony on this earth, for which we can welcome such values and find out them from any spiritual scriptures, also from anywhere in broad-sense.
